Your five day adventure will begin when our guides meet you at the seaport of Kawthaung where you can explore the marketplace at the busy and bustling jetty.

  • As you slumber, the Sea Gipsy will whisk you away to The Three Islets. Here you will be able to swim, and snorkel with an array of tropical fish in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

  • Your adventure will take you to Tar Yar Island where you will kayak through the island’s enchanting mangrove forest.

  • You will be treated to the untamed beauty of Iguana Bay and the waters surrounding High Rock Island will give you the chance to swim, kayak and snorkel in the pristine waters.

  • As you travel aboard the Sea Gipsy, you will be treated to stunning views, access to beautiful, sun-drenched beaches, delicious meals and relaxation like you’ve never experienced before.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kawthaung – The Three Islets

    Your unforgettable adventure will begin when one of our guides meets you at the seaport at Kawthaung. Once you are all checked in, there will be ample opportunity for you to see this unique boarder town. If time permits, you will also have the chance to take part in a sightseeing tour through Kawthaung. This tour will take you on a stroll through the lively market near the Jetty and will give you the chance to experience Victoria Point.

    If you have the chance, make sure you grab your camera and snap some photos of the King Bayint Naung statue and the scenic views of the river to Ranong, Thailand. The tour finishes with a short drive through the fishing villages on the outskirts of Kawthaung.

    Once aboard the Sea Gipsy, you will be whisked away on an overnight cruise to The Three Islets.

  • Day 2: The Three Islets – Nyaung Wee Island – Bo Cho Island – Lampi Island

    On the second day of your adventure, you will awaken to the stunning and breathtaking vistas of the sun rising over The Three Islets which are also called 115 Island. You will enjoy a delicious breakfast aboard the Sea Gipsy before having the opportunity to swim with the diverse and beautiful tropical fish that abound in the crystal clear waters off the islands’ shore.

    After you’ve enjoyed a dip in the Indian Ocean, one of our guides will take you on a trek through the islands’ rich and lush jungle to a small beach that few people know about. Here you will find beautiful seashells that have washed up on shore, carried in on the ocean’s tides.

    After a busy morning, you can relax and enjoy a lunch cruise that will take you to Nyaung Wee Island for a visit to Moken Village where you will find a large settlement of Sea Gipsies who will greet you with warm smiles and friendly waves.

    As the sun sets on the second day of your adventure, you will be able to indulge in some night fishing as an overnight cruise takes you to Lampi Island.

  • Day 3: Lampi Island – Tar Yar Island – Ko Phawt Island – Pilar Island

    The third day of your time adrift in the Mergui Archipelago starts off early with some kayaking through the mangrove forests of Lampi Island. The remainder of the day will be all about water adventure and relaxing on the beach as you are whisked off to Tar Yar Island, Ko Phawt Island and Pilar Island for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking as well as soaking up the sun on some beautiful and remote beaches.

  • Day 4: Pilar Island – High Rock Island – Zar Det Nge Island – Salon Island

    The morning of the fourth day of your trip will begin aboard the Sea Gipsy as you float in the shimmering waters of Iguana Bay. Following breakfast, you will depart for High Rock Island for a day of swimming, and exploring the island. From High Rock Island it is on to Zar Det Nge Island for another day of water adventure that includes swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and trekking across the beautiful and remote island.

    As your fourth day aboard the Sea Gipsy comes to a close, you will enjoy a barbecue dinner as you continue on to Salon Island where you will spend the night in the waters near this beautiful place.

  • Day 5: Salon Island – Kawthaung

    The final day of your adventure will be bittersweet as you awake off the beautiful shores of Salon Island. As you enjoy breakfast, the Sea Gipsy will take you back to Kawthaung where you will disembark and head for home with a full heart that is rich from your adventure.

  • Important Notes

    Visa: For guests which are entering and leaving Kawthaung/Myanmar from Ranong / Thailand do not have to apply for a visa at the Myanmar Embassy. You are able to get a special visa for the duration of the trip in Kawthaung. Just make sure to bring 30$ and two passport pictures along. Moby Dick Tours will take care of the process in Kawthaung.

    Please be advised that agents or passengers are required to obtain all necessary visas for the county to be visited. For Myanmar and Thailand a valid passport for six months is required. You will obtain 28 days valid tourist visa to enter Myanmar. We recommend that you contact your local Myanmar Embassy for the most up to date information on visa and passport requirements. A combination as enter Myanmar in Yangon and leave in Kawthaung is possible, without special permit.

    Important Notice

    1. Minimum 4 guests is required to confirm the trip.

    2. Maximum 10 guests of booking can be accepted.

    3. The boat, MV Sea Gipsy, has no private cabin on board. The boat was built as 5 open-air gazebos which are transformed into double beds with curtains. There are 2 gazebos on the upper deck and 3 gazebos on the main deck and all booking requests are always handled by the first received first served basis. MV Sea Gipsy provides space and storage area on the lower deck.

    4. The boat is just a simple and not a luxury boat. There is neither air-con nor fan onboard. There are 2 bathrooms (showers only) with toilets on the main deck and all the guests have to be shared it.

    5. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from Moby Dick Tours Co., Ltd. You will receive an invoice by fax or e-mail as confirmation of booking.

    6. Payment Conditions:

      • Deposit: 50 % within 10 days after booking confirmation.

      • Final payment: 50 % 60 days prior to departure.

    7. Cancellation Conditions:

      • More than 120 days prior departure: deposit will be returned (minus bank fee).

      • 119 to 61 days prior departure: deposit will not be returned.

      • Less than 60 days prior departure: full price will be charged.

      • If the balance is not received in time, Moby Dick Tours Co., Ltd retains the right to resell the booked places.

    8. Payment Method:

      • Payment to be made:

        • a) by US Dollar - cash our office (Moby DIck Tours) in Yangon

        • b) by wire transfer, net amount, to the indicated account (account details will be mentioned in Invoice)

    9. In case of an unforeseen increase in fuel prices, we will keep our right to adjust the above prices by charging a fuel-surcharge.

    10. Liability:

      • We strongly recommend that each guest purchases comprehensive accident, medical, baggage and trip cancellation / interruption insurance when they book the trip. Please be advised that if guest chooses NOT to purchase the trip insurance, we will not be responsible for any financial disappointment caused by any reasons beyond our control. No partial or full refund will be made for unused services.

    11. Moby Dick and its subsidiaries reserve the right to rearrange the order of any itinerary, to cancel or substitute elements of any plan without notice when local conditions force (weather conditions, flight time changes, tidal movements etc) such changes. There will be no partial or full refund of payments in the case of no-show or last minute cancellation by the customer. Moby Dick Tours Co., Ltd has the righ t to modify/change the tour program due to weather conditions and in the interest of the passengers, without any compensation to customers. In the unlikely case of a the trip having to be outright cancelled by Moby Dick Tours Ltd. after payments have been received, a refund or a new trip will be offered, but no further compensation given. Although our ship is well maintained, equipment breakdown can occur. If during the trip, the ship is disabled by breakdown of machinery, collisions or any other cause that prevents the use of the ship by the customer, Moby Dick Tours Ltd. will make a pro rata refund of the tour price for the period of disablement.

    12. Note: All guests has to returned a complete filled out Booking & Liability Release Form before departure.
