Enjoy the warmth of the sun-drenched deck of the Sea Gypsy as she glides across pristine, calm waters. Let the sea breeze cool your skin and enjoy comfortable relaxation in one of the cozy deck chairs in one of the boats’s five open-air gazebos.
To start off your amazing adventure, one of our guides will meet you in Kawthaung and bring you to the MS Sea Gipsy to get you organized, checked in and ready to go. If time permits, you will then have the opportunity to be a part of a sightseeing tour that will take you around Kawthaung. You will have the opportunity to stroll through the vibrant markets near the Jetty and visit the famous Victoria Point which is the most southern tip of Myanmar. Be sure to bring your camera along and snap a photo of the King Bayint Naung statue and the scenic views of Pyi Daw Aye. The tour finishes with a drive through the fishing settlements that are on the outskirts of town. Once the tour is complete, you will return to the Sea Gipsy to start your island safari adventure. The fun will start with an overnight cruise to The Three Islets which is also called Island 115.
The second day of your island safari adventure begins with stunning views of the sunrise over The Three Islets. You will be treated to breakfast aboard the Sea Gipsy which will be followed by swimming and snorkeling in crystal clear water that is teaming with diverse and beautiful sea life.
Later in the day, one of our guides will take you hiking through a lush and tropical jungle to a stunning and remote beach that has been left virtually untouched by humanity. The beach is covered by beautiful shells that have been brought in on the ocean’s rolling tide and washed up on the shore. After returning to the Sea Gipsy, you will cruise over to Nyaung Wee Island where you will visit the Moken Village.
As you enjoy your lunch, the Sea Gipsy will cruise through the calm water to Bo Cho Island where you will experience a day-in-the-life of real Sea Gypsies. As you disembark onto Bo Cho Island, you will be greeted by the innocent and smiling faces of the local children. If you bring small gifts for the children here, their warm welcome will be almost overwhelming. On Bo Cho Island, you will be able to stroll through the village and experience the stunning vistas afforded by the Pagoda which is located on the hill overlooking the entire village.
As you depart Bo Cho Island, you can take the opportunity to do a little bit of night fishing, or just chill-out onboard the Sea Gipsy and enjoy the cool night air as you settle in for an evening in the water near Bo Cho Island.
The third day of your life changing adventure begins as the sun rises high over the Indian Ocean. The day will start with an early morning cruise over to Lampi Island. Lampi Island is a large expanse of land that is one of Myanmar’s National Parks. Your first stop will be on the island’s southernmost tip, at the entrance to the mangrove lagoon. Here you will kayak through the anciet mangrove forest. After a short rest, the Sea Gipsy will take you over to Tar Yar Island. In the Kayak again, you will paddle along 4 kilometers of tidal river. This will take you right to the heart of the island where you will be immersed in the tropical wilderness of the Mergui Archipelago. From here you can hear the countless songs of tropical birds and you might even see monkeys foraging on local sandbars. As you paddle around Tar Yar Island, you will be treated to breathtaking vistas of ancient rainforests that will leave you awe-struck.
At sunset, the Sea Gypsy will cruise along the shoreline to Ko Phawt Island where you will spend the evening in the gently swaying waters near Ko Phawt Island.
The fourth day of your remarkable adventure will begin bright and early with breakfast onboard the Sea Gipsy and will afford you the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the waters off the shores of Ko Phawt Island. As you experience this beautiful island, our guides will be on-hand to teach you about the trees, herbs and wild life that is indigenous to the area. After exploring Ko Phawt Island and experiencing the incredible and harmonious lifestyle of the people who live there, you will return to the boat for a delicious lunch.
After lunch you will have the opportunity to interact with the people who call Ko Phawt Island home. If you ask, they might even teach you their ancient spear fishing techniques or they might let you paddle one of the canoes they have carefully crafted out of a single tree trunk.
Afterward, you will return to the boat with a heart that is enriched and full of new experiences. As you settle in for the evening, the Sea Gipsy will slice through the beautiful water as it carries you away to La Let Ga Let Island.
The fifth day of your Indian Ocean adventure picks up where day four left off. You will awake as the sun rises over Sa Let Ga Let Island. This marks the beginning of a laid-back and relaxing day that starts off with fishing for the evening’s dinner. After fishing the Sea Gipsy will set out for Wa Ale Island From here, you will have the opportunity to explore and experience the island as you like. You can choose to take one of our sea kayaks out for the day, or just enjoy the sun and relaxation aboard the Sea Gipsy. You can also swim or snorkel and explore the coral reefs that are teeming with sea life and tropical fish.
In the evening, the Sea Gipsey will take you to Pilar Island.
On the sixth day of your voyage, you can relax on the deck of the Sea Gipsy and watch the sunrise before enjoying a delicious breakfast. After breakfast you will continue onto High Rock Island and from here on out, you are going to want to bring your camera with you everywhere that you go. One of our guides will show you to one of a number of secluded and remote beaches where you can take photos and drench yourself in the sun’s warming rays.
As the day progresses, you will be treated to a delicious lunch followed by even more stunning vistas and breathtaking scenery as the Sea Gipsy takes you to Zar Det Gne Island. At Zar Det Gne Island, you will take in even more beautiful and uncharted wilderness, beaches and ocean panoramas.
In the evening, you will be treated to a barbecue dinner and a cruise to beautiful Salon Island.
The bittersweet final day of your adventure will start with awe-inspiring views as the sun rises over Salon Island. Today, the Sea Gipsy will head back to Kawthaung where one of our guides will be happy to help you organize your journey back home.

Visa: For guests which are entering and leaving Kawthaung/Myanmar from Ranong / Thailand do not have to apply for a visa at the Myanmar Embassy. You are able to get a special visa for the duration of the trip in Kawthaung. Just make sure to bring 30$ and two passport pictures along. Moby Dick Tours will take care of the process in Kawthaung.
Please be advised that agents or passengers are required to obtain all necessary visas for the county to be visited. For Myanmar and Thailand a valid passport for six months is required. You will obtain 28 days valid tourist visa to enter Myanmar. We recommend that you contact your local Myanmar Embassy for the most up to date information on visa and passport requirements.
