Useful Information for Myanmar E-visa Online Application

People may apply Myanmar E-visa online through the official link launch by the Ministry of Immigration and Population as follows: https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/tourist/message.
Starting from the 1st of July 2023, E-visa applicants do not need to upload their COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

Go for the below procedures (steps by steps) for applying Myanmar E-visa online.

1. Notice to Tourist Visa Applicants
   https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/tourist/message / Click “Continue to Apply”
2. Start to apply your E-visa here
   https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/Tourist
   • Entry Information
   • Personal Information (fill out the passport information and other required information, to upload your passport copy, hotel confirmation letter, return air ticket, photo as mentioned sizes, etc.)
     • Port of Entry: choose “Kawthaung International Land Border Checkpoint” if you decide to enter by Kawthaung.
     • Under Address in Myanmar
       • Accommodation Type: choose “Hotel”
       • Name and Address of selected Accommodation in Myanmar: “MV Sea Gipsy Cruise, Kawthaung. Tanintharyi Region.”
   • The applicants may receive the below potential questions, who enter and depart by Kawthaung border and here are the suggestions to follow.
     • The proof entry visa for entering Thailand from Kawthaung.
       You need to upload multiple re-entry Thai visa. Or, just present an explanation, If you do not need multiple re-entry visa to enter Thailand again.
     • The proof travel plan to leave Kawthaung.
       You need to upload the proof of document for your onward journey such as Ranong – Bangkok air ticket, Ranong – Bangkok bus ticket, Ranong – Phuket bus ticket, Hotel confirmation in Ranong, Any kind of confirmation letter that proof your onward journey, etc.

3. You will receive an email about visa application submission after the payment is successfully done.
4. You will receive another email with a visa confirmation letter within 4 or 5 working days after the application is submitted.
5. You have to print out the visa confirmation letter when you receive it and present it together with your passport when checking in at Myanmar immigration.
