Myanmar E-visa Online Application Procedures

Requirements and Procedures for Online E-visa Application

People may apply Myanmar e-visa online through the official link as follows: https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/tourist/message. Starting from the 1st of July 2023, e-visa applicants do not need to upload their COVID-19 vaccination certificate but to buy inbound travel accident insurance from Myanmar Insurance (https://www.mminsurance.gov.mm/inbound-travel-accident-insurance/) is still mandatory. 

Go for the below procedures (steps by steps) for applying Myanmar E-visa online and buying inbound travel accident insurance.  

1. Notice to Tourist Visa Applicants (https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/tourist/message)

2. To buy Inbound Travel Accident Insurance (https://www.mminsurance.gov.mm/inbound-travel-accident-insurance/) 

3. Click Continue and Buy (https://www.mminsurance.gov.mm/inbound-travel-accident-insurance/) 

4. Check the box “I agree terms and conditions” and click “SUBMIT and CONTINUE” (https://www.mminsurance.gov.mm/inbound-travel-accident-insurance-terms-and-condition/)

5. Fill out the required information (https://www.mminsurance.gov.mm/buy-online-inbound-travel-accident-insurance-entry/?terms_condition=b25fcfe7dfafere&domestic_travel_submit=Submit+and+Continue) (just select the minimum insurance period that is 15 days)

6. Follow the procedures with the payment.

7. After the payment is done successfully, you can download the insurance certificate.  

8. Go back to Step-2 and fill in the insurance information in the form then continue with the visa application. 

9. Fill out the passport information and other required information. (select or check the box “Kawthaung Border Point” under the Entry Point, to upload your passport copy, hotel confirmation letter, return air ticket, photo as mentioned sizes, etc.)
   The applicants may receive the below potential questions, who enter and depart by Kawthaung border and here are the suggestions to follow.
   • The proof entry visafor entering Thailand from Kaw Thaung
     You need to upload multiple re-entry Thai visa. Or, just present an explanation, If you do not need multiple re-entry visa to enter Thailand again.
   • The proof travel plan to leave Kaw Thaung  
     You need upload the proof of document for your onward journey such as Ranong – Bangkok air ticket, Ranong – Bangkok bus ticket, Ranong – Phuket bus ticket, Hotel confirmtion in Ranong, etc.

10. Continue with the payment. 

11. You will receive an email about visa application submission after the payment is successfully done. 

12. You will receive another email with a visa confirmation letter within 4 or 5 working days after the application is submitted. 

13. You have to print out the visa confirmation letter when you receive it and present it together with your passport when checking in at Myanmar immigration.
